Introduction
I have learnt to blog when I was 14 years old. I still remember the moments when the first time we do have internet connection via LAN Cable in our house. Those time was like the beginning of blogging era and I still remember the first blog I published was in 2007 using blogger platform from Google and free domain name. The weather is not always sunny throughout my life timeline, I stop writing on my personal blog since 2012 when I pursued by study in Civil Engineering field.
But it ends up in 2025 I still not becoming a Civil Engineer, in fact I have been working in IT Technical Support line for almost 5 years! Let us go back on the track why I created this personal blog again with the exact same domain that was terminated few years ago.
Increase my technical writing skill
In writing field, based on my own perspective there are always more than one segments or categories. Based on my experience and based on what I have been through, I have learnt more in these two categories in writing style. First, a story-telling writing. Second, a technical writing skill. I learnt them by get into this blogging world since 2007.
I am not going to declare myself master in these two types of writing skills, but at least I know where to use those skills and when to apply them in a right place. I learn, by doing it like the most people say practice make it perfect.
Improve my vocab
Since the first time I jumped into this blog writing, I was able to improve my English and Malay vocab. Thus, this contributed an As in Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Inggeris during Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
Knowledge transfer
This will happen when someone left comments on my blog posts. As the owner or the articles, I was glad that someone willing to read my writing in my personal blog and left a comment.
As my appreciation to them, I keep on searching back their blog posts and I will do the same. Different peoples got different style of writing since most of bloggers out there is not from the same background. In fact, based on my observation most of them are even not from journalism background or masscom education background.
This knowledge transfer happens when you keep reading other’s writing about specific niche or categories in their blog post. Including their personal experiences category, tutorials, educations, recipes and many more.
Networking
The last reasons I will share in this article will be networking. This last reason why I keep passionate in writing is to grow my network or circle within the same roof or same passion with me (which is writing).
It was wonderful time during 2010s when blogging plaftorm like WordPress and Bloggers communities in Malaysia started their own greet and meets events annually to share the experience and knowledge among themselves in one big event. As a results, networking becoming broader, and some of us becoming friends and business partners at the same.
I am not sure if this blogging communities still active or not. Perhaps, they are still there. Still passionate in writing.
Conclusion
As a conclusion, writing is all about passions. If you have no passion in writing, maybe we can suggest you to try coding using HTML or C++. Or maybe Python as well.
I hope this new personal blog (with old domain name), I will be back on the track to write everything about anything. Writing is the way we express our thoughts, ideas, or in replying someone ideologies without using our physical power or tools to win the match.
